Cube Organizer  

A cube organizer, or "cubbies" as we use to call them in our days in elementary school, is almost always preferred over a normal shelf for office, work, and computer rooms.  These kinds of rooms almost always need more space for books, supplies, and various other storable items that are only used on fairly rare occasions.  However, these organizing shelves can also be used in recreational or display rooms.  With a normal shelf, you have the same amount of space as a cube organizer, but the problem is that you don't have the extra organizational help.  All organizer shelves are not the same and we will go over the main ones in this article.  The big three organizer shelf types are for display, entertainment, and storage purposes. 

Most shelves used for display purposes can be used in either a vertical or horizontal position, although if the shelf is square in shape, then it doesn't really matter how you stand it up.  An obvious advantage of using a shelf with cube-shaped spots to display pictures or whatever other items you want is that the things on the shelf are much less cluttered.  Space on the shelf is more open and it gives the room a more comforting feeling as a whole.  You can go with a theme with the objects you display on the shelf, or you can just use each organizational slot to show off trophies and awards you have won in the past.

An entertainment shelf is usually set up in a pretty obvious matter in so far as where to put which entertainment item.  There will always be a large rectangle shaped slot for a television, with a slimmer rectangular slot above or below the television slot for cable boxes, DVD players, or video game consoles.  One last feature of most entertainment shelf organizers is the movie cabinet.  These small cabinets can be used to store your movies, video games, or anything else you need to have easy access to next to your television.

When using a shelf for storage purposes, it is imperative that you go with a cube organizer.  These will help you sort your books or folders better so you can find them more easily later and also will help your shelf look at least somewhat clean.  With different sections on a shelf you can also avoid stacking files or papers on top of each other in a very unflattering manner.  The office or computer room doesn't need to be the cleanest room in the house, but there is a limit. 

It really doesn't matter what you are going to use your shelf for because a cube organizer is going to be your best option in every most cases.  I went over the entertainment, storage, and display uses of a cabinet organizer and that was just scratching the surface.  There are other uses for a cabinet like this, but these are the most common and most likely what you need.  When you are looking to buy a new piece of furniture for any room in your house, just remember the advantage of having multiple slots to place your items.
